      hi there,

      i have been searching around regarding "Link Table" , many explanation given by the publishers , they all used the examples with same field names. But what happen if you have a scenario that , you have been given with different field names, but all these field names with the same data? Should I still link it? If it so, How should create this Link Table?

          Fuan,

          A key/link table is frequently required in QlikView to resolve Synthetic Key or Circular Join issues

          If the field names are different with same data, the tables will not link or join. There must be common field name for the tables to make associations.

          You can rename the field or column name of the table to link each other. Link table is not necessary here.

          Example: (Lets say field A and field D have same data, you can rename it as key so that they will link each other)

          TAB A:

          Load fieldA as key,

                    fieldA,fieldB;

          TAB B:

          Load fieldD as key,

                    fieldC,fieldD;
