Snow to star

          When i am change my data model  from  snow to star schema.

          Is there any possible to loss data or fields or tables?

How do you changhe from snow to star schema?

With mapping load?

With Join?

what i am saying here is my  current datamodel is having snowflake schema ,

now i want make it to star schema

when i am making it into star schema is there any possibilities of loosing the data ?

as well as any fields ?

if i am going to loss some data due to this converting snowflake to star schema then whats the reason ?

Unless you leave a field out by mistake, I don't see how your field can be lost. And with regards to your data itself, when joining things together don't use Left, Right or Inner joins and I don't think any data should be lost.

no, they only are different ways of designing the data model

No, you dont loss data or field if you dont do a mistake, I think.

I do many times this, a very important thing is that you do this step-by-step, so you do for the first table and then you control that is all ok and so you continue with other table and control.

You can avoid many mistakes.
