IOS for Qlik sense server

Hallo,

I just started Qlik sense server.

I try to see it now through my Ipad and Iphone, but this fails.

I sit with IOS 8.4.

I keep getting the message:

"Connection lost. Make sure Qlik Sense is working correctly. If there is a timeout for your session occurred due to inactivity, refresh to continue working."

My IP address followed by / qmc works fine, but not for the hub.

I've done this with my Mac and it all works fine.

I have read that it has started the 8.0 update from Apple, but this is now already a while ago.

What settings are wrong?

Translated with Google Translate - Qlik Community Administrative Team

Ik ben net gestart met Qlik sense server.

Ik probeer deze nu te raadplegen via mijn Ipad en Iphone, maar dit lukt niet.

Ik zit met IOS 8.4.

Ik krijg steeds de melding:

"Verbinding verloren. Controleer of Qlik Sense correct werkt. Als er een time-out voor uw sessie is opgetreden vanwege inactiviteit, vernieuwt u om door te gaan met werken."

Mijn IP adres gevolgd door/qmc werkt prima, maar niet voor de hub.

Ik heb dit ook met mijn MAC OS gedaan en daar werkt alles prima.

Ik heb gelezen dat het aan de update van Apple 8.0 is begonnen, maar dit is ondertussen toch al een tijdje geleden.

Welke instellingen staan verkeerd?

Hi Arthur,

I knew that the certificate gives some problem, but it worked for qmc and not for hub?

It also worked for my Macbook Pro and Windows PC's, but not for my Iphone and Ipad.

But now the problem is solved when I allow http.

Thank you very much, now I can try to make some users to implement Qlik to my team.

Best Regards,

Karl

Sometimes, you have to add the Server name, FQDN and IP address in the Server Whitelist in the QMC. I have seen this happen at times and adding the entries in the white list helped in several instances. Give it a shot.

Hi

as far as I learned and understood (please correct me if wrong) iOS from version 8.x on will not trust any self-signed certs anymore and thus does not allow access in general.

So the solution to use https with an iPad is to have a signed cert created by a trusted CA.

A free cert for everyone will hopefully be available at https://letsencrypt.org from September on.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for comments and I hope that this can be solved.
It is safer to use https insteda of http.
What I don't understand is that it works for qmc and not for the hub.
So the certificate is trusted for qmc and not for hub?

Hi Asim,

Thanks for the advice, but it doesn't work for us.
So I allow http and then it works fine.

Karl
