How to learn qlikview_newbie_no coding experience at all

Hi everyone

I am new to qlikview (in fact new to coding-transiting from healthcare to analytics and qlik).. I do not have any coding experience at all.

It would be a great help if anyone could guide me what path to take to learn qlikview from start to end so as to gain mastery over the tool. For now i've installed qlikview and have been able to create charts and graphs taking help from videos from youtube.

Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and regards

V

There are three channels on YouTube that I can recommend:

Abhishek Agarrwal - YouTube

Alan Farrell - YouTube

Qlik Share - YouTube

Also on Udemy, Shilpan Patel teaches two courses:

  • Become QlikView Developer From Scratch
  • Become QlikView Designer From Scratch

I am more of a visual learner so these have helped me a lot.

In my opinion, the best and most structured is to attend a QlikView training class - they are made up of 2 day designer, 3 day developer and include manuals.  You can contact your Qlikrepresentative for how to sign up or if you bought the software through a reseller, they may be able to be certified in the training or make a recommendation.

There is also a really good bok that you can purchase - Qlikview 11 for developers and you can try and do self-instruction

Thank you everyone.

Sinan, i too am more of a visual learner so hope these videos would be helpful. I had been using videos from answer sharks but was working on my own dummy data.

Adam, thank you for the recommendation. I have taken your words and ordered the book.

Thanks again!
