Windows services run in Session 0, and mapped drivers are not supported in Session 0. So the NPrinting Service does not support the use of Mapped Drives. UNC (Universal Naming Convention) paths must be used for any NPrinting related files that are accessed over the network. For instance \\ServerName\SharedFolderName\... is a correct path instead of Z:\SharedFolderName\... is not supported.
Stephan, Thanks for the reply... Add folder only give me the option to add folder from current machine. Currently I am using folder on same server where NPrinting service is running. How can I add UNC path in Service Tab of server configuration management console of NPrinting as shows in my screenshot.
Here are the steps to list folders using their UNC paths:
1. Click Add Folder
2. Select the mapped drive and folder you want
3. Remove mapped drive letter etc. so only the UNC path remains & click Select Folder
4. The UNC path appears in the QlikView NPrinting Files box
This works for the External request Source Folder and NSQ files as well
