I assume you have used the macro from the link to Stefan Walther's qwd.
Do you know the purpose of the code in the Function copyObjectsToExcelSheet, where it says:
When I use the macro to export a straight table it was maximized within Qlikview. Naturally I do not want this to happen.
I commented it out but I wonder if I might run into issues later on.
I have stopped using the macro as it is easier/faster to just copy paste the data from the old layout to an xlsx file.
Regarding your question i really have no in depth knowledge of the macro, so i do not know what that purpose is of that code or what issues you might run into if you comment it out.
Apparently Qliksense supports xlsx exports, not sure why Qlikview itself does not allow for it. When I asked about this two years back it was stated correctly that Microsoft does not even support it, Now Microsoft Reporting Services does allow it on SQL 2012, now my users are asking if this was the original reasoning behind it why is is not available now as Microsoft have a solution, what is the reason now. This should definitely be included
