You can use a text object and place it on the chart. Use option Layer option under Layout with top = 1 and make transparency color = 100%
Use a "Text in chart option" under presentation tab of the chart. You can customize it according to your wish.
I would recommend you to use option 2, its easy and straight forward.
Have a look at this example to see if if gives you any ideas.
Qlikview Cookbook: Tutorial - Annotating Chart Data Points http://qlikviewcookbook.com/recipes/download-info/tutorial-annotating-chart-data-points/
Hi Yayat, use DUAL function to read the comment from database, duplicate your expression, enable data points for the dual expression and set same color... see image below you can see the expression definition in the legend, let me know if questions. (TEST is my field name where I inserted comments "Oscar" and "Márquez")
Hi Mr. Oscar,
as I understand, it will work when the comment rule in max/min condition,
back to my case, in example there are plan and actual budget,
the acceptable condition are :
2. Plan>Actual, because of some efficiency activity (must put some comment)
the in-acceptable condition are:
1. Plan<Actual, means over budget (must put some comment)
2. Plan>Actual, means some budget not use, may be several project is pending/delay (must put the comment)
if so, we can said the comment rule are random depend on graph creator.
Please advice me,
I still believe you can use what I suggested, I'd like to have a copy of your document to take a look and understand a bit more how your comments are loaded into your database, are they tied to a date? If you can please share your file.
Using static textboxes added in design mode may not be the best, unless you control how many data point will be displayed in chart, there's no presice way to control the position of them respect the chart.
Hai Mr. Cho,
now my comment showed from database, its make me more insterest, thank very much.
but I still have issue, hopefully you can solve it,
when I wan to put 2 comment, they alwas show same value, but in expected its should be showed different value, for example at the graph showed january 1, and january 2, both of them have different comment as record in database,
january 1 comments = "Unstable dollars"
january 2 comments = "project delay"
could you give me some advice about that,
