I.E. Plug-in vs Full Browser View: Differences in Functionality

Hi All,

In the near future I plan to migrate my users from the Full Browser View to the Internet Explorer Plug-In View to enable use of macros and to make use of the additional functionality that the plug-in offers (set reference, etc.).

With that said, I was wondering if anyone knows of a document that compares the full list of differences in functionality between the Internet Explorer plug-in and the Full Browser view?

Any help at all would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

‌Hi, from top of my head I prefer IE plug-in because:

1. It is faster in opening and usage

2. It renders better

3. Pivot tables are easier to use

4. Cycle buttons are easier to use as you can select available dimensions rather then cycling through them

Enough for now

Plugin is all good, but it have some limitations.First it uses a different port for communication so it's more difficult to setup using secure transports (vpn/https), Also if Microsoft stops support of IE plugins it will probably also be the end of the plugin. Regards /Magnus
