Please keep in mind that the cost of answering this question may become higher than the cost of the RAM you managed to obtain (which is very reasonable these days). An alternate way of quantifying the improvement is to (selectively) poll the end-users about QlikView performance.

Anyways, as pcammaert getting this answer may consume the RAM I managed to obtain, and the solution he advised seems to be kind of big for our server now.
So, in the meantime, I'm calculating the KPI, the same way, but taking into account only the hours I'm aware of the system being down.
I shall create a simple 2 or 3 question survey to send periodically to the users to assess their feel about the uptime and service.
