Any problems between QlikView 9 and Windows 7?

Any reason not to upgrade from Vista to Windows7?

Michael,

A number of us have been running QlikView (both 32 and 64-bit) on Windows 7 for a while now, and I for one have not experienced any problems. The current service release of QlikView 9 (SR1) is supported with Windows 7.

I am running this combination and have not experience any major problems.

Some minor problems which I noticed:

The context menu on the expression tab. When right click on an expression on the left to copy and paste, the contact menu is not shown on th mouse pointer rather it's shown at the bottom on the screen.

Also scrolling up and down on expressions is little buggy - workaround is to lick on an expression and then scroll up or down. If you don't do that, scrolling doesn't work if more than 10-50 (enough for scrolling) expressions on a chart/table.

But I think these are known problems to QlikTech and they will have fixes soon.

Hope this helps

UPDATE:

I just wend to download site and saw SR2 (Beta) is available for download. I installed on my W7 laptop and I did not see the bove mentioned minor problems. So if you wait a week or so, I would think SR2 would be out as public release. Anyway, you can have SR1 now and release as soon as SR2 is out in short time.

Rakesh,
I experience the issue you described on XP - that means it has nothing to do with Windows 7 or even with QV 9. It surely exists in 8.50, and maybe in other versions. Didn't try SR2 yet.

I am having problems with my display but is not consistent between objects. looks different for some objects. The list box properties display is differ thant he multi list for teh same properties tab (i.e. Number tab). So far noone can figure it out. I cannot get to teh thousands option on the Numbers display in some objects because it goes off screen. If I knew how to add attachment I would so you can see. Awful

RESOLVED. Qlikview and Windows 7 themes, except Windows Classic do not mesh. I changed my theme Windows 7 Basic to Windows Classic and it fixed my issue. Qlikview IT has been working on this for weeks and could not figure it out. Be forewarned to make sure you stick with the Classic view
