Creating a total line from line chart

Hi,

anyone able to assist with the creation of a 'Total line'

<Band> is a dimension - the current line chart that I have is as per below.

I need to have another line that will show the total of these values as the dotted line that I have drawn out

thank you

May be like this,

Dimensional limits ->

For Band Dimension -> Show total

Hi,

Check this,

If your Expression is,

  • Sum(Actual_Demand)

Then create a second Expression like this,

  • Sum(Total Actual_Demand)

I think creating a second expression would be a problem as it would remove the effect of second dimension. Do you have a sample you can share so that we can help you better?

Hi Sunny,

You are right, when I add another expression, it messes with the first dimension

when selecting the 'Band Dimension' <Show Total>, it is only represented as 1 figure at the end of the line chart but not a line in itself.

I was thinking the expression should be the values of the selections from the field or something as such

thanks

Hirish's suggestion of "Show Total" for Band works for me. Can you upload a small sample?

Hi,

thank you so much. I had selected the Total at the Month initially. after selecting the total at BAND, the Total line is accurately displayed.

regards,

grace

The "correct" answer really should go to Hirish
