How to Pick a File from Qlik Sense Desktop?

Hi,

I would want to add a button inside my qlik sense application that will open a Windows in order to select a file (CSV or excel file).

My aim is to allow a user to refresh data through a new file.

Somebody knows how I could implement that?

Hi Philippe,

Beware this might lead you into more problems. As a rule, I would never empower users to reload the data directly. Client is a client in my humble opinion.

Saying that - this is possible using Sense API. Have you look at this link.

Unfortunately i'm totally agree with you about clients...

But sometimes even if he's wrong, he take the final decision and you don't have the choice.

If this is a mandatory requirement you can surely achieve it by building an extension.
