Cyrillic characters with QlikView BEx Connector

Using the QlikView BEx connector, cyrillic characters come out as question marks. It works with BEx Analyzer. Is this a missing feature of the QlikView BEx Connector, and/or is there any way to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Just to close this down: The issue was an outdated version of the QlikView BEx Extractor. After update to version 6.1 IR or above, it solves the issue.

Does it look ok in SAP if you run the query in RSRT and log on with a user with the same language settings as for the user in the BEX connector connect string?

Hi Mats,

I'm using the same user for both the QlikView BEx Connector and for BEx Analyzer, so it has the same language settings. All our tests seem to show that this is an issue with the QlikView BEx Connector, and not with SAP configuration.

The Cyrillic characters appear correctly on the QlikView sever when loaded through another route (Excel). I am wondering if this is a limitation of the QlikView BEx Connector.

Best,
