Application will not reload automatically

Hi,

I have an application that just will not reload automatically through Qlikview v9 64-bit server.

I have 8 other apps that all reload just fine. The 9th app that will not reload automatically is set to reload in exactly the same way as the other 8.

If I reload manually through management console (Reload tab), it works fine - so no problems within the app itself. But when I check in the morning (all apps set to reload once overnight), there is no entry in the status section for this app. So it's not even causing an error - it just looks like it's not even trying to reload? I've treble checked the times to ensure there are no clashes - there aren't. I've also tried changing the time around, but the application refuses to do anything automatically. The application file itself is in the same directory as one of the apps that is reloading automatically too.

So I'm completely stumped on this one? Has anyone seen this and have a solution?

Many thanks

Nick

Hi,

I ended up restarting the Qlikview server overnight. The application is now appearing correctly in the status section as schedulled to run and will now reload automatically.

So it looks as though something had broken in the schedulling services of Qlikview server - fixed by the restart.

Thanks for your ideas!

Nick

Hi Nick,

Copy the same application and paste same location with different name. and try to reload the new(Copied) application in qlikview server.

Hi Sathish,

Nope, that didn't work.

I also tried to copy one of the apps that is currently working on the automatic reload. The copy of the application doesn't reload automatically either. So it appears I can't add any additional apps to the server that will reload automatically.

As an additional note, when I set the scheduled reload time up, it doesn't appear in the status section of the management console as scheduled.

Has something gone wrong in the scheduling part of the server possibly?

Nick

Hi Nick,

In that Copy Application, Just reload manually bacause may be its problem in connection string???

Hi,

I tried that! The manual reload for the copied application worked fine, as does the manual reload for the original application. So I don't think the problem is with the application(s). I'm pretty sure it's a server/scheduler problem.

Thanks
Nick

Nick,

Try this option also, Put New copied application in server then goto Qlikview server(Qlikview management console) and reload.

then u can able to c log in qlikview server itself.

I am manually reloading through the Qlikview server. This creates a record in the Status section, completes the reload successfully and removes the record from the status section.

I'm not sure what other logs I can check as the server doesn't appear to be even trying to reload the app automatically?

Hi

That means, QlikView scheduler is not a problem. may be application reloading time that time server busy. so plz check that also?

if qlikview scheduler is not working then check log file then we came to know whats the exact problem?
