The CAL's belong to the SBE which meant you couldn't give the licences directly to a client else the client had to lease the licence from the server. This could be done from the desktop client by menu --> open on server.

Open the QlikView Management Console (QMC);
in System tab --> Licenses --> Client Access Licenses (CAL) --> Assigned CALs
add the 5 users
If you want to change the user, remove and add a new one (sometimes you need to wait 24 hours (look at the help, top right))
To use QlikView desktop you can lease the license from the server using QlikView desktop (open in server) or the ie plugin
