Qlikview 9 to 11

Hi,

A number of my colleagues currently use QlikView 9.  Is there any reason why I can't open their .qvw's?  I'm on QlikView 11 but I thought I should still be able to open older version documents

AFAIK qlik should be able to open applications which aren't older than two major-releases. This indicates that QV 11 should open QV 9 apps but I'm not sure if 11.1 and 11.2 aren't treated as major-releases. Maybe this a good reason to upgrade your company environment (and as an intermediate step download QV 10 and open and store these application - after making backups).
