Problem to reach Access Point from outside server

Hello all,

I just installed QlikView Server 12.10. I have two issues.

1. I can access to QlikView Access Point only from localhost and not from other computers.

2. Can't do a license leasing even when I already assigned users Named CAL licenses.

I already opened ports: 4747, 4720, 4730, 4750, 4749, 4799,4780 in local firewall.

Any advise?

Thanks in advance.

The problem was just resolved. I checked with the LAN administrator. There were restrictions in the network, he created rules for the users to access the server using the ports: 4747 and 80.

I will check if It is necessary to add the other ports.

Thanks.

Hi,

1. Inside the server you are accessing using http://localhost link or with IP/Name?

2. Check whether you have enabled "Allow Leasing License" in QMC?

Hello Krishnapriya,

Thanks to answer.

1. In the server yes I'm accessing using http://localhost/qlikview. From outsite using the server IP: http://<server IP>/qlikview

2. Yes I have enabled the setting: Allow Leasing License in QMC

Just to confirm, those ports are open inbound and outbound in both the server and the client, correct? (At least for 4747 in order to allow leasing licenses)

If you telnet the server to any of those ports, do you get any reply or access? There might be other proxies or routers or load balancers in between which may not have these ports open.

Hi,

1. Try accessing the Http://<server IP>/Qlikview inside the server too. Share the error message you are getting.

2. You can use Open in server option to lease the license. once your 1 issue is resolved you can try leasing using access point option.

And check the Ports as suggested by Miguel.

Thanks Miguel,

The ports were open inbound and outbound in server, then I also did it for the client. Still have the error:

"Failed to reach server: xx.x.x.xxx:4747

Switching to HTTP tunneling

Connected to server OK, Negotiations Timed Out"

The telnet gives : "Connect failed"  for the ports.  I don't know much about network and probably neither the necessary privileges, then I need to ask to the IT Network department Something else to check with them?

Did you get the HTTP Tunneling issue while leasing the license or in browser while accessing the Access Point?

It was while leasing the license
