I have upgraded to the current version. The application launched the first time I clicked on it, but any subsequent time I try to launch the program a window pops up for about 1 second and then closes.

I assume you are talking about the desktop version.
Have you rebooted your computer or checked task manager to make sure there are not instances of QS running?
I am using the desktop version. It appears that the Service Dispatcher process is running and it causing my issue. If I cancel the process, then Qlik Sense will launch.
