QlikView Report Banding?

Hello Experts,

I need help with a QlikView report that won't band correctly by department. I have a single page report that has Banding enabled at the Report level, as well as at the Page level, and I have tried combinations of one or the other that don't appear to make a difference because it is just one page. I can get the pages to band, meaning the the text box labels change correctly, and it generates 8 pages for the departments I have selected.  But the pivot table that contains the data appears to be the same on every page, starting with the first selected Department, but lists more than one department on a page.  I am using 12.1.0.

I have also tried with changing the page to a multi-page report and it does not seem to make a difference. The data for one department will fit on one page.... if I could get this to band right.

I followed the instructions found here: Using QlikView’s Report Editor , which are very clear but I am not getting the result I thought I would.

Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you!

Does that pivot table have any set analysis that modifies what data appears in the chart?  Outside the report, if you select each of these departments in turn does the Pivot Table update correctly?

Rob,

Thank you so much! I was so focused on the report, I didn't realize the object wasn't functioning as I intended. I fixed it to work as it should, updated the report and voila, it works perfectly.

Thank you for your reply. And thank you also for the amazing / awesome / technical wonder that is the Document Analyzer. I use this frequently and I have learned a great deal from it. Thank you for your work on that and your help here.

All the best,

Dena
