differences between the average

Will like to ask a question. Let say I have the data below.

I will like to find out the differences between the average salary of Male and Female. 

How should I enter into the expression for the chart?

Gender	Salary
Male	400
Male	1200
Female	500
Male	700
Female	400
Female	300
Male	400
Female	300

May be this in straight table or chart

Dimension as Gender

Expression Avg(Salary)

or

Avg({<Gender = {Male}>}Salary)-Avg({<Gender = {Female}>} Salary)
