Hi Joanna,
The latest version of QlikSense Desktop can be used across multiple environments. For example if you have a dev and prod environment, the same desktop version can connect to both.
To connect do the following:
- Open your QMC
- Virtual Proxies, edit your central Proxy
- Click on Desktop Authentication Link on the right
- type in your URI (http://<server>/)
- Give it a friendly name
- Click generate
- Copy the link and send it off to your developer and all they have to do is double click on it and they're good to go
One thing to remember, you have to have a prod QlikSense license. QlikSense desktop will not work with a test license.
