Can anyone tell how to integrate R with qlik sense

I have doubt regading  Integrattion.Firstly qliksense is a reporting tool for data analysis and to generate reports about the data.

So my question here is R is also another tool which is used for Stastical analysis, So now tell R is not a database or any sought of data container.So,now tell me why we need to integrated qlik sense with R.
