Number Formatting - Telephone Number

I have a telephone number in a list of contacts that I would like formatted as a phone number.  The data includes international and mobile numbers.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this look good?  Many thanks

Can you give us a sample of what you have and what you want to have (the output) ?

If the data is clean, you can use string concatenation and left(), mid(), right() functions. If not, maybe purgechar() could help.
