I have an Excel Report on V17. On the report the user can advise a threshold level, and the report does some formatting changes.
Now, what happens is that when I open the generated report, I am told that the file is protected. If I remove the protection in the File-Options-advanced settings - Trust Centre - Protected view, the user still can change the cell value, but gets the error message
'Excel encountered an error and had to remove some formatting to avoid corrupting the workbook. Please re-check your formatting'
and then all the formatting is lost
all help/suggestions appreciated.
