Why should we install Nprinting 17 on a different Server?

Hi All,

As Recommended by Qlik, we need to install Nprinting 17 on a Separate Server, what is the main reason for this, please suggest.

is it because of the RAM consumption by Nprinting Services like engine, repository, Server etc?

Hi,

Assume your using production environment, Qlik NPrinting Server  & Qlik NPrinting Engine will consume all of the available resources of the computer that they are installed on. If Qlik Sense is installed on the same computer as Qlik NPrinting Qlik Sense may crash due to a lack of available resources, and no reports will be delivered. Currently, Qlik NPrinting Server, Qlik NPrinting Engine and Qlik Sense do not have an internal system to limit their usage or resources.

It is not designed to work on one box in production environment. You can test some features on one box or run demos, but you will hit many issues when trying to implement production solution on one box. This is for the resaons Devarasu has written above,

You will also run unsupported configuration and will not be coverd by Qlik's support.
