If your x-axis is set as continuos (on the axes tab) then the only possibility is to have stacked bars. Otherwise, (if you use them side by side) would mean that they are not in the same point in the axis (in time, for example)
You should disable the continuous x-axis or use another approach, for example on a combo chart, use one expression as a bar and another one as a line or a symbol.
Hope this helps,
I have the following dimensions,
Factor1 - Expression1
Factor2 - Expression2
Now EffectiveDate is on the x-axis, which is correct, the problem is I want a bar chart with Factor1 and Factor2 side-by-side compared to each another for different expressions. This works for other graphs like the line graph and combo graph, but for some reason it only shows a stacked bar graph when you use the bar chart.
Your Help will Really be Appreciated.
the problem lies the way you are choosing your dimensions , i cant understant what you try
to achive by taking Effective Date ,A, B as dimension against Value1 , Value2 , if you realy want
to show values against these three dimensions just go and create a cyclic gruop and select dimension
i have checked it is showing stack chart only since you have taken all three dimsion together.
to create a cyclic group go to Settings->Document properties ->Group there create
a cyclic group and add in your chart.
Hope this hepls
