QMC - Why my task is running for too long.

Dear All,

I've scheduled a task to run on a daily basis and it used to take approximately 45 min to finish.

Now it has been running for too long approximately 4 hours and it is still running.

For your reference i have attached task log file and please let me know how to interpret this log file.

Is it because of the Qlikview or the back end database issue.

Thanks.

Regards,

Viresh

there can be many reason.

check your server where qlikview  server installed, is working properly or not?? might be server get hanged.

check CPU utilization of server?? if it 90% to 100% then qmc will not able to allocate enough amount of CPU to complete task.

check database server also.

Hi Viresh,

May be there is database connection in it and it is unable to load data from it.

Kindly check with limited load.

Thanks,

If non of the work and you want to complete then restart qlikview server service and re-run.

I spoke to network guy and he told that the server usage was very high. They are going to restart the server again.

Hope that will solve the issue.

thanks

actually no need to restart the server.

You have to check which service taking max CPU consumption and holding max Memory,

You need to restart that service only.
