To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Hi people,

how do i do to filter only top 10 on that expression below?

RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE))

Thnak you

Can you share your data or sample application? Dimension limit is one option but need to see the data first.

Thank you!

Hi,

i can explain better maybe, i've a Field with a list of problems (CATEGORY_VALUE) and i want that top 10 problems that more occur in my table.

INPUT:

OUTPUT:

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Sort the total in descending order.

Thank you!

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

if(RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE))<=10,1)

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Hi Jahanzeb i tried with 'IF' condition, but i can eliminate the null result when i do this, cause its a measure not a dimension

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

if(Aggr(RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)), CATEGORY_VALUE)<=10, CATEGORY_VALUE)

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Hi Giovanne i tried with 'IF' condition, but i can eliminate the null result when i do this, cause its a measure not a dimension

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

May be this

Total

If(RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)) < 11, COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE))

Rank

If(RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)) < 11, RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)))

And make sure to uncheck 'Include Zero Value' under Data Handling -> Add-Ons

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Hi Sunny,

All that works to bring top 10 values, but my problem is that expression make a measure and not a dimension, so dont have the option to Zero Value.

Expression:

Measure without option to check or uncheck 'Include Zero Value:

Dimension with check 'Include Zero Value :

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

For expression, the option is here

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Hum, i did but still not working, maybe have some relation with other dimensions and/or measures?

Dimension:

CATEGORY_VALUE

Measure:

TOTAL           =>   COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)

RANK            =>   RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE))

RANKTOP10 =>   If(RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)) < 11, RANK(COUNT({<CATEGORY_ID={2261}>}CATEGORY_VALUE)))

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

because your other expressions are still showing values... either use the same condition in those two expressions or delete them to only see the rank

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

Sir did you even look at my response?

Did you even try to change TOTAL expression to the one above?

• Re: To limit a Rank value in Set Analysis

hahaha sorry i delete my reply, after understand better. You solved!
