Any way to backup Data Connections?

Hi,

Is there any way to back up (export and import) Data Connections from QlikSense Server? I have couple of Data Connections which I would like to import while importing the App. To avoid manual Data Connection recreation. I will be glad to geat any idea how I could achieve it.

Hi,

when you import an app on the server its data connection are also imported, just configure the username and password if you use it

Hello,

do you mean data sorce setup on your server (odbc...)?

if yes, I have used the folowing procedure with a MySQL ODBC connection:

else, I think youssefbelloum‌ has replied to your request.

Well you are right. But I can do that only with QlikSense Desktop. If I export an app from QlikSense Server it doesn't export Data Connections with it... And my problem is that I have lots of sophisticated REST endpoints configured and then if I want to import this app to another server I will lose all of my data connections and I will have to recreate them manually.

Hey,

This is not correct. Connections are not imported in Qlik sense when you import an app. You should create them from scratch.

You can store data connections in git repository and move them between environments
