Hi Sukamalbiet.

What do you mean?

Is it for distribution from QV Publisher?

Or is it for reading AD objects via LDAP in your load script?

Hi Magnus,

With the help of Active Directory Explorer(a .net application) I am connecting to Active Directory server with same UserId & Password credentials.

But in QV Server error is coming. I am using AD server UserId & AD server password.

Can you tell me what UserId & Password I have to give in QV Server. Is there any administrator UserId, Password in LDAP server.

And what type of permission is required to talk to AD Server. Through telnet I can connect the physical IP of LDAP server. Server port is open for QV Server.

Please give me needful suggestion to established the connection between LDAP and QV Server.

Hi sukamalbiet.

- The first thing is the service QlikView Directory Service Connector needs to run as an AD-account in the same domain you try to connect to

- Then, your LDAP string should look something like LDAP://domainXX

- You should normally not need to supply credentials (Username and Password), but that depends on the AD security settings. The service account is in fact logging on through Windows Integrated Auth, so no credentials should be needed (I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure).

Hi Magnus,

QlikView Directory Service Connector is running on the same domain.

but still its comming error.

Suppose my domain name is mycompany.in.

Then what will be the LDAP string??

Its should like this- LDAP://mycompany.in

The string is correct.

You could ask your AD-admin at the company for the correct LDAP connection string.

It could also be firewalls preventing you.

Or the user account is disallowed to connect via LDAP.

Or something else.
