QEMC- Folder Tab missing

Hi,

I am installing the Qlikview, After entering the license When I am opening System-Setup in QEMC, I can't see Folder tab. I can only see General and Distribution folder when I am selecting Qlikview Server.

What could be the reason?

Thnx,

Viki

Folders is Publisher, right?

Folder tab comes when you click Server instance, I am able to see only General and Distribution Tab. It should show  general, Folders, Documets, Performance, Logingig, Security,Folder Access etc.

QEMC > System > Setup > QlikView Servers > QVS@servername > Folders tab. This is missing

Yes, but it requires a publisher licens? Check licence tab

Hi Thomas,

I have only server license. I would like to setup Qlikview server without the publisher license.

You see? You need publisher-licence to see the folders tab.

With only server you have to solve it differently.

Hi Viki,

You should find the Folders tab right there if you aren't using Publisher. Does the machine you are installing has another previous installation? If so, have you cleaned the browser cache?

Hi and sorry for the interference,

Just to make that clear, the Folders tab is part of the Server configuration and all editions of license have it, regardless if they have Publisher in addition.

That seems some problem with the permissions either in the browser running the javascripts in the QEMC, or in the filesystem that stores the folders and files that make the QEMC.

Did you upgraded recently or changed folders in your server?

Hi Miguel.

We are having the same problem. There is no problem with the browser, as we can connect to our other QlikView servers correctly. I also can't find any problems with file permissions, and we entered our license key correctly.

Do you have any more suggestions as to what this could be?

OK we found it; it was because the previous development server in our network was using the same license key. After deinstalling QlikView there, the license started working in the new server.
