I have a request from a client to create custom regions in Africa for them, this custom regions need to act as heat maps – this will be linked to sales per region.
I would like to know if anybody had success with custom regions on Google maps in another country than the USA.
These 2 threats are exactly what I need but I can get it to work - http://community.qlik.com/thread/40708 and http://community.qlik.com/thread/40894 . The USA example works 100 % on my laptop and I can get to the properties. But with the world example and custom regions one I get errors. " an error has occured in the script on this page " " unable to get the value of property 0: object is null or undifined"
It seems like this way you don’t need to pay fees to Google ? I do have the lat and long for the regions and also for the shops in these regions.
It will be a huge bonus if I can even go a step further and pinpoint shops in this area as in this threat hhttp://community.qlik.com/message/163748#163748.
Both these instances use extensions and seem this is the way to go.
