Export to Excel fails from IE

I have a user that cannot export to excel correctly. This is the resulting error. Any reasons why this is happening. I can export fine from IE, and chrome.

We are running qlikview 11 and others can export. What settings do I need to look for in IE?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

Is the client using IE plugin or Ajax?

Are you using the XL button? Can you export it using right click -> Export ... -> Excel format?

You can try to add the server address on the list of trusted sites.

Regards,

Erich

EDIT: Another option here:

A: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security and Press Custom Level...

Now locate Automatic prompting for file downloads and make sure it is set toEnable.

Also make sure you allow the popup from this page if you have a popup blocker running.

Ajax plugin. The IE plugin works just fine for exporting.

I made sure the Automatic Prompting for downloads is enabled.

The wierd thing is that I can export just fine. And I do not have the server address as a trusted site.

Hi,

Try looking at the "Compatibility View" setting in IE (under "Tools"), especially if running IE9.  Be sure it is on.  I hope this helps!
