Detach a sheet from the slections on the remaining sheet

I am working on a dashboard sheet and displaying YTD and MTD numbers. However, I do not want any selections of Year or month on the following sheets affect my first sheet. I have already used the option of detaching the charts on first sheet but I have some text boxes that cannot be detached.

Detaching will disappear when the document is reloaded. If you are using version 11 I recomend using alternate states to seperate the sheets

In QV11 alternate states is the best approach. If this is not your case, you can use bookmarks to emulate this behavior.
