Straight table getting resized.

Hi all,

I am using a straight table. However, when I am resizing my columns, my table is getting resized too.

How can I maintain the table size?

i.e when I am resizing the column, I dont want my table to get resized and it should be constant.

Thanks,

Sindhu.

Hi,

Table properties->Layout Tab->Uncheck the Allow to Move/Size checkbox

Table will not resize now.

Thanks.

Hi Supriya,

That option would not let me displace my table. However, if I uncheck that option and resize my columns, the table shifts towards the right.

Any other suggestion?

Thanks.

hi

if you want to table constant and also want to table displace from one place to another place then u can use

1.Table properties->Layout Tab->check the Allow to Move/Size checkbox

                                             >uncheck the Size to Data option

if u will do it ur table will fix.

Hi. I think it will resize the table to try to display all dimensions, but will allow you to scrolll horizontally for expressions. Try moving some of your dimensions to the expression tab, by using Only(fieldName).

There might be a way to get the dimensions to scroll also, but I am not sure off the top of my head.

Hi Lee,

My issue is that when i expand the column to the right, my table (straight table) moves to the right.

But my reqmt is that the table size should remain constant and the columns should adjust themselves in the table.

Is it possible?

You get slightly different results with the AJAX client and the windows client.

But with the windows client, by default when you change the width of a Dimension, yes it will resize the table.

But if you resize an expression column, then it will not resize the table.

So one work-around is to add dimensions to display as expressions, as I outined above.
