entering a "search expression" in a Calendar Object works as expected - but unfortunately the object doesn't display the "search phrase" (2012 in this case). There is just "...".
Sure, you still see the selection in the "Current Selections Box", but IMO it would be more user-friendly to have it in the Calendar object too.
Not sure whether i got your point,but by searching 2012 in this case will give you the selection of 2012 to all objects.Moreover it will display '...' but you can use current selection box to see the selecton.
Apart from that you can also use '> 'or '<' sign if you want selection in between the dates.
