Can the QlikView Reload Engine relaod QVD's without Publisher?

Why? What are you trying to do? Why can't you just do a reload?

I needadetailed understanding of the limitations of the Reload Engine without Publisher. 

The "QlikView Server Reference Manual_ENG.pdf" says:

"In the absence of a Publisher license, the Reload Engine provides a subset of the Publisher distribution services. The Reload Engine only reloads user documents and the settings are defined directly in the user documents."

This makes it sound like you cannot reload QVDs unless you have Publisher.  Is this true?

You can reload QVWs with no problem. You can only define a single trigger for each document.

With a Publisher license you can define several triggers, dependencies for each task and even several tasks for a single QVW document. You can have document administrators and other functionalities but without it you can still reload documents.
