      Dear experts,

While configuring to auto-reload qvw document , the message "ReloadEngine@qlikview is down" showed on management console.

Trying to start the unstarted QlikView Distribution Service of windows and failed , the message in the event log showed as followed:

Is there any resolution known?  Thanks in advance.

Is the account running the Distribution Service a member of the local Administrators group?

Take a look at the log in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log\Root*

              Hi Rob,

              Thanks for reply.

Have checked the account (which is a domain user account) to start the service is one of local admin group.  I tried restart with local administrator but failed.

the log in "C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log\Root" has checked and seemed no obvious  root cause.

Have you changed the configuration of the QDS in recent days?

I had this problem many times and if the QVS is in a domain, try to create a new mortal domain user (non-domain administrator and no ones uses it for anything) and set in the administrators group of your server then assign it to the start services of Qlikview.

                    Hi Richard,

Is the user you are using part of Local Admin and Qlikview Administrator Group.

                    Thanks & Regards

                      Hi ,

Sorry for update late.  I didn't find the root cause but found I was installed a beta release.  While upgrade/re-install to a stable release, the problem had gone.

                      Thanks for all your replies.

                      with regards,
