    QlikView Sanity Test

Can anybody please confirm if my current understanding of the how QlikView behaves is correct?

      Background:

Our dashboard is approx. 1 GB and uses section access. The dashboard is currently reloaded daily to include new users’ access details.

Please review my assumptions and comment accordingly:

      1.      A user should expect to experience a substantial performance difference between the first time (in the day) that they open the dashboard and subsequent openings? And that this is on account of the cache been cleared and now being rebuilt – is this correct?

      2.      The user should expect to experience a substantial performance difference between the first time (in the day) that they select specific filters and subsequent selection of the same filters? And that this again, is on account of the cache been cleared and again being rebuilt – is this correct?

      3.      The user might experience a substantial time difference between the repainting of the same chart at different times, and that this is due to the availability / unavailability of CPUs in the QV Pro cluster – is this correct?

      4.      A user might experience a substantial difference in performance when working away from the office on account of network availability – is this correct?

      5.      A user might experience a substantial difference in performance when activities are happening on their local PC/ Laptop ie daily back-up – is this correct?

      Please advise

      Tom
