Hidden

What could be the reason, I have none of the Hidden Script Option available?

This file is created by our previous employee and I am unable to see any Hidden Script option...

Hi,

Does your user belong to the  ADMIN group in the document?

If not, probably you cannot even access to the hidden script.

Reagrds.

HI

are you sure the script is hidden?

if you have no script, look at the first to check if there is a binary load

best regards

There is no password in this QVW application.

I am having FULL ACCESS of this document.

There are two documents created by this employee.

In other document, I can see the Create Hidden Script Option available.

Any help on this?

I have checked few more QVW files created by this person, all showing at least one option.

Is there any way we can disable this option after creating hidden script?

Also, I am unable to understand below.... after...

     Reloading the script

     Save the file

     Open the saved file....

I can see the file is not saved at all. It is showing RELOAD time is OK but data is not showing properly....

Something wrong which  I am unable to catch....

You can log onto the server with admin rights, but still open the QV document with reduced rights. The rights inside the QV document are determined by section access (typically in the hidden script!) and are unrelated to your AD admin rights.

You have reduced rights due to section access.

But... you can delete the hidden script file

1.-First save all sheet codes in the script as main.qvs, or calendar.qvs etc...

2.-Create a -prj folder and deleting the hidden script xml file, it will be in a binary.data file .

Otherwise you will only save layout.

3.- You will need to create a new script and copy the contents of the qvs files  but once it's removed you will have the option to create a new hidden script.

Check this video, it may be helpful: look for "qlikview remove hidden script password" in Google.

Hope this helps.
