We make around 35,000 decisions in a single day. Some are simple, like what to eat; others are complex, like how to solve a Qlik script problem of what to eat if you're married; and some are so important that shape careers and change lives.
Among all of those lies our brain, designed by millions of years of Evolution. Knowing the science behind decision-making not only helps us understand why we do things the way we do but can also teach us how to decide better.

Despite of how advanced the new LLMs have become, they still scratch the surface when it comes to real reasoning challenges. For example, when presented with Sudoku Extreme dataset, the success rate of the biggest GPT models are around 0%. That is because they are based on Language and Language is a communication tool, not the source of Thought itself.
Recently, a new study showed a different approach. Not a lot of people are talking about this yet, but this has a potential the change the whole game. I study this paper and broke down in very simple terms in my latest Data Voyagers article.

Read Craig Brophy's and my latest blog, Doing Cycling Differently, where we discuss Tour de Qlik, a high-energy activity based on our sponsorship with Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, Qlik’s official pro cycling partner, and a celebration of data-powered performance. It wasn't just physical, it was real-time, visual, and fully data-driven all to support the #SpecialOlympics.
Description:
In the Bar Chart object, Qlik Sense currently provides the ability to exclude NULL values in dimensions using the "Include NULL values" checkbox. However, there is no equivalent option for measures.
I would like to request a feature that allows users to easily exclude rows where the measure is NULL, similar to how it's done for dimensions. This would be especially helpful when working with calculated measures that may return NULL based on business logic, and where the goal is to only visualize valid (non-null) results.
Use Case:
When a measure returns NULL (e.g., due to division by zero, missing data, or conditional logic), the bar chart still reserves space for that bar, resulting in an empty gap. This can be misleading or visually unappealing in dashboards. An option to automatically hide or ignore such bars (just like with NULLs in dimensions) would improve both clarity and usability.

Hello, there!
To start my 2025, I decided to write about what will be one of the hottest topics of the year: Agentic AI. Hugging Face, AWS, OpenAI and others are now offering Agentic AI implementation services. new libraries in Python are becoming popular. People are talking about it but most don't really understand what is going on.
Fear not, my dear Padawans, my newest Data Voyagers articles is here to the rescue!
Read it all here. If I get enough views, I might even do a couple videos coding a real example/
Hello,
I'm new with Qlik and i'm trying to create the Excel table you can see on the attached file.
Column A is filter with some "Destination".
Column B is result for my month reference (YYYYMM)
Column C is result for one year ago (YYYYMM-1)
Column D is result for three years ago (YYYYMM-3)
Column E is calculating the variation between month reference and one year ago (Col A- Col C/Col C)
Column F is calculating the variation between month reference and three year ago (Col A- Col D/Col D).
I've tried to do it with two different object "Pivot Table" and "P&L Pivot" with no success.
Is there a way to do that easily ?
Hope my explanations are clear ! Thanks for your help

Good day, Qlik Community,
This week I published a new article on Data Voyagers. It is my 2nd consecutive non-technical article, but it is about a theme I have been thinking and reading about for quite some time. Is it about what behavior science teaches us about management and what effect each style has and which one is the most effective in developing people on the long rum.
I hope you enjoy it. Link is below.
Check out Qlik’s free trials, a quick way to explore some of Qlik’s products!
You can try one or both, depending on what you're curious about. The Qlik Talend Cloud Trial lets you build and manage data integrations without writing any code, super helpful if you want to sync, clean, and enrich data across systems. The Qlik Cloud Analytics Trial gives you a hands-on look at our AI-powered analytics, where you can combine data, create visualizations, and dig into insights with help from the Associative Engine.
If that sounds interesting, take advantage of the offer! Find more information here.

“Hope is a poor strategy”
“Insights are useless without action”
I hear these problems often in conversations with customers across industries and regions. They reflect a growing realization: Collecting data isn’t enough. What matters is using it to drive action.
In this Qlik learning voyage session I share what I’ve learned, including:
- Why dashboards alone aren’t enough
- How Qlik Automate helps turn insights into action
- A ready to use Action Framework based on real-world customer examples
If you’re ready to move from passive to active analytics, I’d love for you to join me on this journey.
Hi,
help me please.
A client asks me:
1) Qlik Sense can send a mail with a screenshot of a Community Sheet (indipendently)?
2)Qlik Sense can apply a filter on a Community Sheet and after send a screenshot of this (indipendently)?
Thanks
Valentina
