Qlik Data Catalyst installation on Macbook 16gb Ram

Hello Experts,

I want to install Qlik Data Catalyst for POC purpose on Macbook. Just wanted to clarify if below system configuration will support in any case.

  • 2.8GHz quad-core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.7GHz
  • 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory

Thanks in advance 🙂

I think it is possible, what I have done it in AWS, because I wanted to be able to publish on redshift and make the test more extensive.

And principally not be limited by a fisic machine.

I wish you success in your POC.

Hi,

I understand that you will not be able to not comply with the OS
requirements.
Here is an excerpt from the manual.

Thats awsome.

Using AWS as a  scalable solution is also a better way.

So I will not face any challenge related to RAM or Core on Mac..Right?

I understand that, but ... I think the VM should have 8GB because it is necessary to run tomcat, docker etc.
I've practiced on a VM before doing it on AWS and, although it was windows, it was a bit slow.

I recommend a minimum of 8gb.
