Qlik replicate for normal DB2 tables is able to parse the log and get changes correctly based on IFI log format.
For Z/os db2 catalog table, the format in IFI log is different, especially around the metadata of catalog tables which are of different from the normal tables, there are hidden columns for the catalog tables, and the format of the log record seems to even change at times. IBM does not document the content of these log records.
There is an additional challenge that IBM can, and sometimes cause which is changing the format of these log records even within a single version of DB2, making it even more difficult to correctly parse these log records.
To sum up, the parsing logic Replicate uses for normal table does not work for catalog tables.
So we d'like to get the same functionalities (extract DML and capturing DDL changes ) for db2 catalog tables
Thanks to consider this enhancement.
