Qlik part/fulltime developer (fully remote)

Hi!.
We are looking for a senior Qlik developer with interest in helping out with more challenging Qlik development and advanced data modelling.

WHAT THE TEAM AND THE COMPANY DO
Our team work with big data within life science. We gather data from multiple data sources and put much work into integrating, refining and visualizing the data in the best way. Then we deliver refined statistics to our customers to help them take better decisions. For that purpose, we are delivering online reports, large export files or decision support applications built in QlikView. We have also built a web-based customer portal from which our customers can access our products and services online and 24-7. Recently, we have also started working with Qlik Sense.

Over time, we have built an advanced pipeline for processing data that runs daily. Early stages loads new data, middle stages aggregates new and old data, and late stages optimizes data for our different Qlik applications. Our team has a clear development focus and we continuously refine and update our existing products, as well as prototyping and develop new products.

Our business is growing, and we need help with more demanding Qlik development. This involves helping out with continuous improvement of existing products as well as developing new products in both QlikView and Qlik Sense.

HOW TO WORK REMOTELY
We are a small team of remotely working developers spread out over different continents. Remote working is not for everyone, but we like it a lot and also you must be able to thrive in this environment. You will speak with incredible, talented and motivated experts working on the other side of the globe. We meet on Skype twice a week for status updates. Therefore, a reliable and speedy internet connection during meetings is a must.

We believe in freedom with responsibility. You, as well as our other developers, have the freedom to plan your work time outside the weekly meetings as well as manage the details of your own work. If you want to work from home in Berlin or from a train in Thailand is up to you. But you must be able to get things done. Over time, developers get to own not only individual tasks, but also owning the larger outcome of their work. We are looking for individuals with a strong action-orientation and self-going attitude. Rather than micro-managing, we believe in coaching. You will be your own manager.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
You will help us develop products in QlikView and Qlik Sense. So, experience with this is a must. The main work involves advanced data modelling, back-end scripting and front-end design. We believe that a background in mathematics, engineering, software development is a plus for this type of development. If you are strong in testing, user experience or design, this will be a plus and if interested there might be several opportunities to help the team with that.

OTHER SKILLS
We value good communication skills and possibility to write or speak in English. This is especially important when working remotely. A natural part of your work will also be to document and update the team of your work, your tasks and the challenges you are facing.

HOW TO APPLY
We can hire you on part-time (with a minimum of 10 hrs/week) or full-time from September 2022 (or from when you can). You will start with a trial period for perhaps a couple of months. Our ambition is then to develop that into a long-term and full-time hiring.
