Retrieve the Signed License Definition using Postman

How to retrieve the Signed License Definition (SLD) using Postman:


  • Postman downloaded and installed
  • The Signed License Key
  • The LEF of the matching 16-digits license must contain the attribute: DELAYED_SYNC;YES;;[enddate]
  • Internet Connectivity with port 443 available to access license.qlikcloud.com

Retrieve the Signed License Definition using PowerShell



Step 1: Create the GET query. 


We have attached a json to this article, which can be imported without the need to manually create the query.

  • Download the JSON file attached.
  • Start Postman
  • Click Import and select the downloaded file.


  • This will store the connection string in a new Collection named GET SLD.


Step 2: Provide the Bearer


  • Load your connection string by going to Collections and selecting the connection and GET request.
  • Switch to the Headers tab
  • Create a VALUE of Bearer (already existent if you imported the GET request).
  • After Bearer add a space and paste your Signed License Key


  • Click Send



Step 3: Retrieve the Signed License Definition (SLD)


The SLD will look like the Signed License Key but be considerably longer. It contains the encrypted license attributes. 
Copy all content to your clipboard.
