When creating the data connection to access Qlik Sense SaaS active log and archived log, find the structures of RestConnectorMasterTable and Data tables are different from both data connections.
Reproduction Steps:
- Create the data connection for active log and archived log by using Audit API
- Select the tables and insert the scripts
- Compare RestConnectorMasterTable and Data tables from both data connections.
Environment
Resolution
Qlik Sense SaaS stores the log in JSON format instead of traditional table structure. The log structure will be depending on the event the user takes. So for each event, the JSON format can be quite different. The active log will be kept for 90 days then be archived. So it is recommended to compare the active log with archive log format as the event will be different.
The return data format also depends on the input query parameters for API. Different query parameter will return different result. The documentation of the Audit REST API can be found here: https://qlik-dev-portal.netlify.app/apis/rest/audits.
