Capacity Based Analytics - Moved Volume

Hi,

we are currently on Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows and are planning to move to Saas.

The following article has a lot of information about Data Moved:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Admin/subscription-value...

I still have some qustions.

In our scenario we would read data from our database and it transfer via Data Gateway to Saas.

If we transfer 1 GB every day, will this sum up to 30 GB per month? According to the article it wil still count as 1GB per month.

What will happen for a year? Is the amount still the max or it will sum 12 times?

Since we will use many tenants (one for each branch) and the data will be partially replicated for each tenant will this count the data for each tenant?

If the final users take advantage of self-service and create their sheets and analysis objects will the space the use count towards the capacity limit?

In general, is there a calculator we can use to have an extimate of Data for Analysis and Data Moved?

Thanks

Hi,

Hare some explainations:

  1. Your data consumption is based on a daily peak, in your example 1GB. At the end of the month, the data consumed is the monthly peak, wich is the max of daily peak. In your example 1GB.
  2. Since it's a monthly consumption calculation, if you add 1Go of new data each month, add the end of the year your consumption is 12Go.
  3. Capacity is calculated per tenant, then the data will be counted for each tenant
  4. Capacity is based on data created or loaded into Qlik Cloud. If an user create a sheet for example, no data is created nor added in Qlik Cloud, because it's already in the app, and so the consuption is not impacted
  5. Data Moved is for QDI, and Data for Analysis for QDA. Maybe your partner can help you by creating a calculator.

Kind regards

Thanks.

This was the part which I needed to understand the most:

Since it's a monthly consumption calculation, if you add 1Go of new data each month, add the end of the year your consumption is 12Go.
