How can we have Only one dotted line in line chart in Qlik Sense

Hi There,

I have been using Qlik Sense for a couple of months now having joined a new organization. Previously, I had some exposure to Tableau.

My issue is that I have a line chart with 3 lines and I would like one of them to be dotted.

Is there a way to achieve this? I had a play around but I achieved nothing.

I cannot believe that in 2022 Qlik has not solved this issue which was initially raised in 2016 here in the forum.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can have only one of the lines dotted by modifying the "Styling" configuration. You can follow the steps below:

1. Go to Appearance > Presentation > Styling

2. If you modify the Line type here, then it will be applied on all lines.

3. But, if you click on "ADD"

4. Then choose the measure that you want to make dashed

5. Change the Line type only for that one measure from Solid to Dashed

6. This is the outcome:

As you can see, only one of the lines is dashed

I hope that this information was helpful. In case I have misunderstood the use case scenario, please elaborate in detail by providing additional information. Hello,

In which  version the 'ADD' button is available? I am working with QlikSense desktop 2021 May version and it is not there.

Thank you!

I found it in the data tab of the chart but now cannot seem to figure out how to assign colors to each line.  I have 9 lines from 3 different categories, I want to show them 3 categories as the same color.  Will ask in a separate thread.
