Ignoring a chart dimension in a chart calculation

HI,

I am basically looking to create a bar chart which is supposed to display the percentage of people in category A and category B, each a different bar. But then also I want to have separate bars for each year. So for example, you will have a bar for Category A that is the percentage of people in category A for 2016,2017,2018, then the same for category B. So Category and Year are both dimensions.

What would be the way to create a percent measure in which the numerator is sliced by the  Category chart dimension but the denominator includes both categories, but both are sliced by the year dimension?

Take a look at the TOTAL keyword used in aggregation functions.

Sum(TOTAL<Category> people) / Sum(TOTAL people)
