Problem installing Qlik Sense Enterprise on brand new Windows 2019 server

Tried to install QS Enterprise Nov 2022 version on a brand new Windows 2019 server, but it keeps on failing on the Postgress part.

 

From the ..PostgreSQL125.log:

Not sure what to do, restarts and reboots of the server wont work.

Hello @Kornee ,

Have you verified that all of the requirements are met prior to the install?

IE: Make sure that the service account is a Local Admin on the server and also attempt to install the software with the same service account.

In my case, on new machines this has always been due to missing c++ redistributables.

Hi @Kornee ,

3 things i can think of :

1) latest redistributables & .net to be installed.

2) permissions to exceute unsigned powershell scripts.

3) Search for "Return value 3" in the installation Logs, that will point you to the exact step where the error occured.
